"Visual Art Studio as Active Learning Laboratory"
Instructor: Chris Triner
Malone University / Johnson Center (next to the Canton main post office on Market Ave.)
8:30 am - 2:30 pm - June 15 - 19, 2015
This
course is for art educators in grades 6-12, and those wanting to
involve more arts education into your classroom. Are you looking to have
time to further study “active learning” techniques? Want in-studio time
to site test lessons AND time to dialogue with fellow professionals
about their effective classroom strategies? This week-long course offers
how to incorporate writing, brainstorming, response (critique), simple
technology, and art history as a way to further motivate your learners
to fully understand lessons. Studio time will be stressed. A daily
critique of your own work and how it can impact your students will round
out each day. A supply fee of $30 will be collected on the first day.
(2 graduate credit hours)
